2a. Information You Provide

• Account registration: email address and password (password is hashed by Supabase Auth; we never see it in plaintext).
• Disclaimer acknowledgment: timestamp of when you accepted our disclaimer at signup.
• Contact form submissions: name, email, and message content.
• Research journal entries: line snapshots and parlay data you choose to save.
• DFS lineups: player selections you save in the lineup builder.
• Payment information: processed and stored by Stripe; we do not store your full card details.

2b. Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: pages visited, features used, chat queries (without storing raw chat messages beyond session context).
• Chat query counts: daily query totals for quota enforcement (not message content).
• IP address: used for rate limiting on public endpoints (e.g., contact form); not stored long-term.
• Browser/device data: standard web server logs (user agent, referrer) for diagnostics.

• To create and manage your account.
• To enforce subscription tiers and usage quotas.
• To provide AI-powered research features tailored to your queries.

4. Disclaimer Acknowledgment Tracking

When you create an account, we record the date and time you acknowledged our disclaimer. This timestamp is stored in our database and is visible to platform administrators. This record serves as evidence of your informed consent to our terms regarding AI accuracy, the research-only nature of the platform, and our responsible gambling notice.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Supabase: authentication and user data storage.
• Stripe: payment processing (governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy).
• Anthropic: AI query processing — queries are sent to Claude API; Anthropic's data policies apply.
• Resend: transactional email delivery.
• Railway: cloud infrastructure hosting.
• Law enforcement: if required by valid legal process.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Research journal entries and DFS lineups are stored until you delete them or close your account. System logs are retained for up to 90 days. If you delete your account, we permanently remove your profile, subscription data, journal entries, and lineups. Contact form messages may be retained for up to 12 months for support purposes.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including JWT-based authentication (ES256), encrypted database connections (TLS), and role-based access control. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but are committed to protecting your data.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data (via Settings → Delete Account).
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Data portability (export of your data upon request).

9. Cookies and Local Storage

BetNLP uses browser local storage and session storage to maintain authentication state, sport toggle preferences, and parlay builder state. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. Our service worker (PWA) caches static assets but is configured to never cache live odds or personalized API data.

10. Children's Privacy

BetNLP is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
